The CAIC is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization, funded by member dues, contracts and contributions. Our membership represents manufacturers, maritime oriented and industrial service companies, financial and educational institutions of the Calumet Area. It also includes over 5,000 employees that our members employ.

Our work is focused mainly in the Greater Calumet Area, although membership is not restricted by geographic location.

Our mission is to lead the industrial retention and expansion efforts of the Calumet Area in order to create an environment in which the industry will remain and grow.

Our success is accomplished through ADVOCACY, NETWORKS and INDUSTRIAL RETENTION & EXPANSION.
